Is Coaching Right for You?

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and your New Year is starting off prosperously.  As 2013 gets underway, people have been asking, "how do I know if coaching is right for me?"  Great question!  Coaching works well for a lot of individuals, but it may not be the right fit for others. Coaching comes in many different forms.  It can be motivational, organizational, relationship based, spiritual, and everything in between.  The important thing to remember is that it is future focused and intended for people who want to actively work on reaching a goal.  It means you usually have homework to do.  And you thought those days were over!  The working relationship with a coach is the springboard to getting a lot of people into action.  It's sometimes easy to find excuses not to get things done; having a coach holds you accountable for following through with your intentions.  Some people are better suited for therapy, which can be a more lengthy, intense, and emotional process, as you work through your feelings.  A good coach will tell you if therapy is better for you.
As a life coach specializing in working with brides, I want you to remember that your emotional wellness matters!  If you are feeling overwhelmed and stressed out with all the changes and excitement that comes along with planning a wedding, you may want to consider a coach.  Having an impartial professional work with you to problem solve, stay organized and motivated, and transition into a new phase in your life can help improve your emotional well being, so you can focus on your wedding.
